I am in my new place!
At first, the kitty DID NOT like it. He wanted to leave. STAT.
He seems to like it just fine now.
I have been so busy I haven't had a chance to update!
I have been sick. It hit me like a ton of bricks and knocked me on my arse. Hardcore.
I bought awsome yarn today. I think I'm in love. No joke.
Will someone help me figure out how to purl into the front and back of a stitch? (It's knittting into the back that's giving me issues.)
Edit: I figured out how to purl into the front and the back. Can you believe I've never had to do that in all my years of knitting? Now I have.

Hope you're feeling better. As to Purl into the front & back, I could try to explain but you might find it easier to watch a video of it being done on http://knittinghelp.com/ Just go to "Basic Techniques", then "increase", scroll down & you'll see "Bar Increase". HTH
Purling into the back of a stitch is just about the funkiest thing you can do in knitting and requires a bit of needle gymnastics. Okay enough preface, here goes. When you purl through the front of a stitch (normal purl) you move your right needle back-to-front and right-to-left through the loop on your left needle. When you purl through the back of a stitch, move your right needle back-to-front and left-to-right through the loop on your left needle. You really need to swing that right needle around to the back of the knitting and turn it around so its coming from the left. Confusing? Oh well, worth a try!
